ZAB Forensic Services was founded in 2018, after discovering a need for an Independent forensic science provider in Zimbabwe. ZAB Forensics is currently the only independent forensic science provider in Zimbabwe, offering a wide range of ISO-17025:2017 accredited forensic science services to both the defence and the prosecution. ZAB Forensic Services specialises in criminalistics, and training crime scene first responders in the areas of crime scene documentation (crime scene photography, recovery of biological evidence, finger-marks examination, crime scene sketching, recovery and analysis of hairs, fibres and glass), forensic database design, drugs recovery and analysis, document analysis, tool marks analysis and wildlife crime.
